Uploading BIM Models in Education Plans

We often get asked if students, professors, or universities can upload their own BIM models when using Plannerly’s free Education Plans. Here’s a quick breakdown:

Free Education Plans (University Partner)

  • All free Education Accounts (University Partner) include access to demo projects and example models.

  • These example models are the same for everyone and help demonstrate how Plannerly works.

  • Important: Free plans - whether for individual students, professors, or entire universities - do not include the ability to upload custom BIM models.

Training Partner Option

If you would like to upload and collaborate on your own BIM models, Plannerly offers a Training Partner plan.

If You’re a Student

  • If your university is not yet a partner, you can still register for the Individual Education Plan here:  plannerly.com/partner 

  • This gives you access to Plannerly for learning and class activities.

If You’re a Professor or Program Leader

Tip: Free and Education accounts all have the same limits on model uploads. To move beyond demo and example models, your next step is to explore the Training Partner option.
