Your certificate is often shared with employers, clients, and colleagues. Ensuring your name appears correctly avoids confusion and keeps your professional record accurate.
Short answer
No. The username you create during sign-up is not the same as the name that appears on your certificate.
Common sign-up questions
What is the username for?
Your username is used to log into your account. It can be anything unique - like "joaosilva92" or "BIMQueen" - but it will not appear on your certificate.
What name will show on my certificate?
The certificate displays the name entered in your profile settings under "Display name publicly as". Make sure it is spelled exactly how you want it shown - including accents and capitalization.
Can I change the name on my certificate later?
Yes. If you have already completed the course but notice a typo or want to update your name, follow these steps:
- Go to your Training/Student Profile.

- Update your "First Name" and "Last Name".
- Select your preferred "Display name publicly as" name.
- Go to your Completed Courses.
- Recreate and download your updated PDF certificate.
Not seeing your certificate? Return to the course and make sure all steps are marked as completed. Certificates are generated only after full completion.
I’m having trouble signing up - what should I do?
- Double-check your email and password (make sure CAPS LOCK is not on).
- Try using a different browser or device.
- If the issue continues, use the live chat in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
