Structured content helps you plan, deliver, and verify information consistently - and makes handover packs and audits far easier.
If you cannot quickly find what you need, documents and requirements slow down reviews, approvals, and delivery. These search options help you locate text, scope rows, and projects faster - even before Docs has a dedicated search feature.
How to Search in Plannerly
This guide explains how to search across Docs, Scope, and your Account Dashboard, including a reliable workaround for finding text inside Docs.
Searching in Docs
At the moment, the Docs module does not have a built-in search function. You can still find text by expanding the document sections and using your browser search.
Step 1 - Expand all sections
Step 2 - Use your browser search
Use your browser's search feature (Ctrl+F on Windows or Command+F on Mac) and type the word or phrase you want to find. Your browser will highlight matches directly inside the document.
If you regularly search for repeated project details (project name, client name, document version, dates, and more), consider using SmartFields in your templates. SmartFields automatically populate key information so you do not have to hunt and update it manually.
Searching in Scope
The Scope module includes a built-in search.
- Look for the search icon at the top-left of Scope.
- This search covers: element names, subtitles, entity types, codes, and information requirement names.
Note: This option searches through the folders and rows list to the left of the grid.
Searching for Projects
From your Account Dashboard, you can search directly for projects.
Type the project name in the dashboard search bar to quickly locate the project you need.
Summary
- Docs: Expand all sections, then use browser search (Ctrl+F / Command+F).
- Scope: Use the built-in search to find rows, folders, codes, and information requirements.
- Dashboard: Use the search bar to find projects by name.
