Using templates helps you standardize documentation, reduce setup time, and maintain consistent information management across projects.
Where to find templates
- Any project or template you are linked to will appear in your Template Library.
- Open the Template Library tab on the left within the Docs module.
- Select the project or template you want and expand the document you wish to review or import.
- Hover over sections to preview their contents before importing. This allows you to confirm you are selecting the correct content without opening each section individually.
- Select Add to import the entire document, or drag and drop individual folders or sections into your current document.
SmartField behavior
- SmartFields will be blank when imported unless a SmartField value already exists in your current project. If it does, the imported document will automatically inherit the existing value.
- This keeps template reuse flexible while maintaining data integrity across projects.
Import settings
Before dragging in your documents, review the Import Settings. You can choose whether to import or ignore the status that the document already has in the source project.
