This guide explains how Revit published views control what you see in Plannerly’s Verify module - and how to update those views when something looks missing.

Why this matters

If a view or object is missing in Plannerly, it is usually not a Viewer problem - it is a published view setting. Knowing where control lives prevents wasted time, incorrect checks, and repeated re-uploads.

Why Revit Views in Plannerly Match Your Published Settings

This means:

  • The views you see in Plannerly are the same as the views you publish from Revit (within your published settings).

  • If objects are hidden in a Revit view, they will also appear hidden in Plannerly’s 3D Viewer.

  • To control what your team sees in Plannerly, adjust your published views in Revit, then publish and upload the updated model.

How to adjust views in Revit

If you would like to update which views appear in Plannerly:

  1. Open your model in Revit.

  2. Go to the Collaborate tab.

  3. Browse the list and select the 3D Views, Sheets, or General Views you want to display in Plannerly.

  4. Click Save and Close.

  5. Re-save or publish your Revit file.

  6. Re-upload the new version to Plannerly (this will be automatic if you are using BIM 360).

Summary

  • Plannerly’s Verify module displays only the published Revit views.

  • If you do not see a view or certain objects, double-check your published Revit views.

  • Adjust them in Revit, save, and re-upload for the changes to appear in Plannerly.

FAQs

Why is a view missing in Plannerly?

Plannerly can only show views that were included in your published settings in Revit. If a view was not selected during publish, it will not appear in Plannerly.

Why are some objects missing in Plannerly?

If an object is hidden in the Revit view you published (visibility settings, view template, filters, category off), it will also be hidden in Plannerly.

Do I need to upload again after changing views?

Yes. After updating published views, publish and upload a new model version. If you are connected through BIM 360/ACC, the updated version will sync automatically.
