How to see your own tasks on a Plannerly project

Use the My tasks block on the Project Dashboard to see every task assigned to you or your team, open it in Scope, and filter with Just Me or Mentions Me.

Contents

TL;DR - Open the Project Dashboard and select My tasks. It lists open tasks assigned to you or your team, soonest due first. Select a task to open it in Scope. In Scope, Just Me shows only your tasks and Mentions Me finds conversations waiting on you.

Good to know - watch in your language: open the YouTube player settings (the gear icon), then under Subtitles/CC choose your language or use Auto-translate. If an auto-dubbed track is available, you can also switch the spoken voice under Audio track.

Who this is for

Anyone on a project that uses Scope and who has access to it. A project manager (with permission to manage project settings) can switch the block off for everyone.

Why it matters

On a big project you can have hundreds of tasks to scroll past and only a few are yours. Seeing exactly what is yours, and when it is due, is where on-time delivery starts.

Find your tasks on the dashboard

  1. Open your project. You are on the Project Dashboard.
  2. Select My tasks.
  3. Read the list. It shows open tasks assigned to You or to Your team, with the due date, and Overdue where it applies. The soonest due come first.

Each row is a task of yours or your team's, with its status and due date.

Open a task in Scope

  1. Select a task in the list, for example Open Doors in Scope.
  2. You go straight to that task in Scope.

Show only your work in Scope

  1. In Scope, select Filters, then Team Members.
  2. Select Just Me. The grid shows only your tasks.
  3. To find conversations that need an answer from you, open Comments and choose Mentions Me.

Choose Just Me and the Team Members chip appears above the grid.

Switch My tasks off (project managers)

  1. Open Settings, then the Project tab, then the Dashboard section.
  2. Turn My tasks on or off. The setting is for the whole project, not one person. You need the Manage Project Settings permission; without it the switch is read-only.

The My tasks switch sits in the Dashboard section of the project settings.
Tip: each person sees only their own tasks in My tasks, so nobody sees anyone else's list.
Why this matters: clear ownership of each task, and a clear due date, is what lets a team deliver what it promised.

If it doesn't work

My tasks is not on my dashboard

Your project may have the block switched off, or the project may not use Scope, or your role may not include Scope. Ask a project manager. They can turn the block on in Settings, Project tab, Dashboard section.

It says Nothing assigned to you

No open Scope task is assigned to you or your team yet. Tasks appear here as soon as someone assigns them.

It says Showing the soonest of a larger number of tasks

The list shows only the soonest tasks. Open Scope and use Just Me to see the rest.

It says Your tasks could not be loaded

Refresh the page. If it keeps happening, check your connection and try again in a few minutes.

Common questions

How do I see only my tasks in Plannerly?

On the Project Dashboard, select My tasks. In Scope, open Filters, then Team Members, and select Just Me.

What does Your team mean in My tasks?

It marks tasks assigned to a team you belong to, not to you personally. Tasks assigned directly to you are marked You.

How do I find comments that mention me?

In Scope, open Comments and choose Mentions Me. It lists every conversation waiting on you.

Can I turn off My tasks just for myself?

No. It is a project-wide setting that a project manager controls in Settings, under the Dashboard section.

Why is a task I own not in My tasks?

My tasks lists open tasks only, so finished tasks are left out. It also needs you to have access to Scope on that project.
