Uniclass Products and Systems tables v1.41

Plannerly templates follow Uniclass v1.41 (January 2026) for the Pr Products and Ss Systems tables. See what changed and how to use Uniclass in Scope.

Contents

Plannerly's templates follow Uniclass v1.41 (January 2026) for two of its tables: Pr - Products and Ss - Systems. Uniclass is the UK's unified classification for the built environment, published by NBS, and it's widely used to classify Scope, requirements and references on ISO 19650 projects.

TL;DR: Use Uniclass in Plannerly either by choosing a Uniclass dictionary as the project's bSDD Classifications Dictionary, or by importing a Uniclass template from the Library into Scope.

Use Uniclass in your project

  • Name rows as you type. In the project's Settings, under Project and Standards, choose a Uniclass dictionary as the bSDD Classifications Dictionary. Each dictionary shows its version in the list, so pick the one your project needs. See bSDD classifications.
  • Start from a template. Bring a Uniclass-classified Scope in from the Library. See importing scope from a template or another project.

Keep an eye on the Classification Coding Style in the same Standards section: Uniclass codes build on their parent (Pr_20, Pr_20_29, Pr_20_29_88), which is the Concatenated Hierarchy style.

What's new in v1.41

NBS added new classifications and amended some names. The highlights:

Products (Pr): new codes

  • Pr_25_30_36_10 - Bronze handrails

  • Pr_60_45_30_58 - Orifice control wall
  • Pr_65_70_12_13 - Cable protection ramps
  • Pr_65_80_65_68 - Pneumatic document conveying system interchange units

Products (Pr): amended names

  • Pr_20_29_88_26 - Edge beading rods (was "Edge beading")
  • Pr_30_59_95 - Water control gate and support components (was "Water control gates")

Systems (Ss): new codes

  • Ss_25_17_25_30 - Flow control embankments
  • Ss_25_36_62_65 - Prop arm systems
  • Ss_45_85_05_06 - Artificial badger sett systems
  • Ss_65_40_33_49 - Mechanical supply and extract ventilation systems

Systems (Ss): amended names

  • Ss_45_40_47_09 - Biodiverse roof systems (was "Brown roof systems")
  • Ss_65_40_33_52 - Mechanical whole-house ventilation systems (was "Mechanical and whole building ventilation systems")

For every table and the full release notes, see Uniclass on NBS.

Why it matters

  • Your Scope uses the same codes as the rest of the supply chain.
  • Classifications stay consistent from the first requirement to the handover data.
  • Templates stay current, so you're not checking codes by hand at audit time.

Questions about Uniclass in Plannerly

Do my existing projects change when Uniclass is updated?

No. Rows you've already classified keep their codes and names until you change them.

Where can I see the full Uniclass tables?

On NBS's Uniclass site, uniclass.thenbs.com, which lists every table with its codes, titles and release notes.

Can I use a different classification instead?

Yes. Choose any of the classifications on the bSDD, such as ETIM, IFC, NL-SfB or CCI, as the project's dictionary.

First announced in our changelog in February 2026. See every update since in the in-app changelog.
